Professor Eiad A. AlFaris is a Professor of Family Medicine, member of the Royal College of General practitioners (London) since 1989. He was the chair of the examination committee of the Saudi board of family medicine for ten years and currently the chair of the examination committee of the Arab board of family medicine. He is the supervisor of the King Saud University (KSU) Chair for Medical Education. He had completed a Master degree in Medical Education (MMed) from the University of Dundee. He has contributed substantially to the development of Medical Education in Saudi Arabia, has published around fifty-five articles in national and international journals. He was an Associate Director of Faculty Development Program of the KSU university hospitals. He was Adviser to the Saudi Commission of health specialties 1998- 2009. He had run various workshops for the Saudi Commission for health Specialties, KSU health schools and national and international symposia.
